Scalp Facial

A Complete Two-Hour Reset for Your Hair, Scalp and Mind

We carefully cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate and protect the skin on our face, yet the scalp is often overlooked. Every day, it is exposed to natural oil, perspiration, dead skin cells, styling products, dry shampoo, environmental debris and the friction created by hats or helmets.

Our Scalp Facial brings the principles of professional facial care to the hair and scalp. This indulgent two-hour treatment combines deep cleansing, exfoliation, hydration, conditioning, therapeutic technology, massage and professional styling to leave your scalp feeling exceptionally clean and refreshed and your hair looking softer, lighter and revitalised.

It is more than a shampoo service—it is a complete scalp-care ritual designed around relaxation, professional attention and the condition of your hair and scalp.

Who Is the Scalp Facial For?

This treatment may be ideal if:

  • Your scalp feels oily, dry, tight or uncomfortable

  • You regularly use waxes, pastes, gels, sprays or dry shampoo

  • Your hair feels heavy, dull or difficult to manage

  • You perspire heavily through exercise or physical work

  • You regularly wear a hat, helmet or protective headwear

  • You notice visible product accumulation or mild surface flaking

  • Your scalp is difficult to cleanse thoroughly at home

  • Your hair needs intensive moisture and conditioning

  • You enjoy head massage and want a deeply relaxing experience

  • You simply feel that your hair and scalp need a fresh start

Every treatment begins with a consultation so that the products and individual treatment stages can be adapted to your scalp, hair texture and comfort.

Your Scalp Facial Journey

1. Consultation and Scalp Assessment

Before treatment begins, your therapist will discuss your scalp concerns, hair-care routine, styling-product use, sensitivities, recent chemical services, medications and relevant health history.

The scalp is assessed for visible oiliness, dryness, product buildup, flaking, irritation and areas requiring additional care. This allows us to customise the treatment rather than applying the same routine to every client.

If we notice signs that may require medical diagnosis, we will recommend that you consult a doctor or dermatologist before continuing.

2. Warm Scalp Steaming

Gentle steam is introduced to begin the cleansing process and create a relaxing sense of warmth.

The steam helps soften accumulated surface debris and prepares the hair and scalp for the cleansing and exfoliation stages that follow. The temperature and exposure time are adjusted for your comfort and scalp sensitivity.

3. Professional Hair and Scalp Cleanse

A carefully selected cleanser is worked methodically through the hair and across the scalp.

Rather than simply washing the surface of the hair, your therapist pays attention to areas where oil, perspiration and styling products commonly accumulate—including around the hairline, behind the ears, through the crown and at the nape of the neck.

The hair and scalp are then thoroughly rinsed to remove cleanser and loosened debris.

4. Scalp Exfoliation

A professional scalp exfoliant is applied to lift accumulated dead surface cells and stubborn product buildup.

The exfoliation is performed carefully and without aggressive scratching. Particular attention is given to congested or flaky-looking areas while respecting sensitive sections of the scalp.

This stage can leave the scalp feeling cleaner, lighter and less burdened by accumulated residue.

5. Scalp Toning and Refreshing

A scalp toner is applied following exfoliation to complete the cleansing stage and leave the scalp feeling fresh and balanced.

The product is selected according to whether your scalp appears oily, dry, sensitive or affected by product accumulation.

6. Hair and Scalp Moisturising

Once the scalp has been thoroughly cleansed, moisture and conditioning are restored.

A professional moisturising treatment is applied to improve softness, manageability and the overall appearance of the hair. Dry or coarse areas may receive additional attention without unnecessarily weighing down the roots.

7. LED Hair and Scalp Therapy

Where suitable, LED therapy is incorporated using selected red and near-infrared wavelengths.

This is a comfortable, non-invasive stage designed to complement the overall scalp-care experience. LED is used as supportive care and is not presented as a cure for hair loss, dandruff or medical scalp conditions.

Protective eyewear is worn throughout the LED component.

8. High Frequency Scalp Therapy

Following consultation and contraindication screening, a glass comb electrode may be moved gently through the dry hair and over the scalp.

This produces a subtle buzzing sensation and gentle warmth, leaving the scalp feeling stimulated and refreshed. This stage will be adapted or omitted if high-frequency therapy is not appropriate for you.

9. Infrared Conditioning Treatment

Controlled infrared warmth is used during the conditioning stage to create a relaxing, cocooning experience while the moisturising treatment remains on the hair.

The temperature is carefully monitored and adjusted to ensure that the treatment remains comfortable.

10. Extended Scalp Massage

One of the highlights of the Scalp Facial is the relaxing scalp massage.

Slow, deliberate movements are performed across the scalp, temples and surrounding areas to ease the feeling of tension and help you switch off from the demands of the day. Pressure is adjusted to suit your comfort.

For many clients, this stage is as beneficial for relaxation as the cleansing treatment is for the scalp.

11. Final Rinse and Blow-Dry

The hair and scalp are thoroughly rinsed before being towel-dried and professionally blow-dried.

The finished result is hair that feels clean, conditioned and manageable, with a scalp that feels fresh, light and carefully cared for.

What a Scalp Facial Does Not Treat

Our Scalp Facial is a cosmetic wellness and grooming service. It does not diagnose or cure psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, fungal infection, alopecia, autoimmune hair loss or other medical scalp conditions. It also cannot create new follicles or guarantee hair growth.

Please seek medical assessment if you are experiencing:

  • Sudden, excessive or patchy hair loss

  • Persistent or severe itching

  • Pain, burning or significant tenderness

  • Open sores, bleeding or weeping skin

  • Thick or widespread scaling

  • Significant redness or inflammation

  • Circular areas of broken hair

  • Scarring or shiny areas of scalp

  • A changing mole or unexplained lesion

Treatment will be postponed if the scalp is infected, broken, severely inflamed or otherwise unsuitable.

A Treatment Tailored to You

Not every scalp requires the same products or technology. Certain elements—including steam, LED, high frequency and infrared warmth—may be adjusted or omitted following consultation, sensitivity assessment and contraindication screening.

Our priority is to provide a treatment that is both enjoyable and appropriate for the hair and scalp in front of us.
