It can be difficult to understand what is happening beneath your hair by simply looking in the mirror. Our Digital Scalp Analysis & Treatment service allows us to examine the visible condition of your scalp and hair at a greatly magnified level, giving you a clearer and more personalised starting point for professional scalp care.

Using a specialised digital scalp camera, your therapist examines different areas of the scalp and displays the magnified images on-screen during your consultation. You can see exactly what we see while your therapist explains the observations in clear, straightforward language.

What can we observe?

Digital magnification may help us identify visible characteristics such as:

  • Dryness or excess surface oil

  • Flaking and loose surface skin cells

  • Styling-product and environmental build-up

  • Areas of visible scalp congestion

  • Redness or signs of sensitivity

  • The distribution and apparent density of the hair

  • Differences between the hairline, crown and other areas

  • The visible diameter and condition of individual hair shafts

  • Signs of breakage, dryness or weathering along the hair

  • Changes that may be worth monitoring over time

Following the analysis, your therapist will discuss the most appropriate treatment approach for your visible concerns, comfort and personal goals. Not every technology is suitable—or necessary—for every client.

Your customised treatment may include:

  • Vibrating scalp massage for relaxation and gentle mechanical stimulation

  • High-frequency scalp care when suitable and used within professional treatment guidelines

The digital analysis helps us personalise the cleansing, exfoliation, conditioning and scalp-care stages of your Japanese Head Spa. It combines close observation with the relaxation and restorative experience of the complete treatment.

Available as a stand-alone service

The service can also be booked independently if you would like a dedicated scalp consultation, magnified analysis and targeted professional treatment without booking the full Japanese Head Spa.

Hair and scalp concerns can have many possible causes. That is why we believe responsible scalp care should begin with questions, observation and consultation—not assumptions or promises.

Digital scalp analysis does not diagnose medical conditions, determine the cause of hair loss or guarantee hair growth. If we observe something outside the scope of a cosmetic scalp-care service, we will recommend that you seek advice from a doctor, dermatologist or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Please tell your therapist about any diagnosed scalp conditions, allergies, sensitivities, implanted electrical devices, medications or recent scalp procedures before treatment. Services may need to be modified or postponed when the scalp is broken, inflamed, infected or unusually sensitive.
